Description
DAERA Inland Fisheries, part of the Environment, Marine and Fisheries Group, operates a fleet of vessels, trailers and outboard engines across Northern Ireland to support statutory duties under the Fisheries Act (NI) 1966, including protecting, conserving, developing and promoting salmon and inland fisheries. These vessels must remain safe, fully operational and legally compliant with relevant Health and Safety legislation and Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) codes of practice (MGN 280, Workboat Code Edition 3, MGN 469), and are essential to the delivery of operational enforcement, monitoring and management activities.
