Description

The NMC is intending through this procurement process to enter a contract with a recruitment partner, which shall provide a selection and appointment process to enable us to undertake a value and competency based recruitment campaign to recruit up to 85 Panel Members and 55 Panel Chairs to be appointed to serve on our Practice Committees by January 2025. 60 of the Panel Members appointed must be registrant Panel Members.

Key objectives of the campaign are to: • attract wide interest from a diverse range of people across the four nations who are suitable to be appointed (at least 60 of successful Panel Members must be a registered nurse or midwife and at least two must be nursing associates); and • improve the diversity of our Panel Member and Panel Chair pool. Specifically improve the diversity of the registrant Panel Member pool so that at a minimum 17% of registrant candidates recommended for appointment are from ethnic minority backgrounds. • that the process builds on the learning and feedback from our previous panel chair and panel member selection and appointment campaigns. This learning will be shared with the selection partner by the NMC at the outset of the process. • to develop and administer the process in accordance with the set timescales (non-compliance with deadlines will incur a set fee reduction). • Ensure the Appointments Board and Council has sufficient assurance
