To award a call-off contract to Scarab Sweepers Ltd for the supply of three 12T scarab sweepers, as per the specification issued through Lot 4 of the Fleet Purchase framework through the Procurement Partnership Ltd (”TPPL”) on behalf of the Hertfordshire County Council (“HCC”) ref: TPPLHCCOP03. 1.1 The Street Cleansing service have three 12T sweepers currently that are 9 years old, not cost effective and not fit for purpose in its reliability for service delivery. 1.2 The Street Cleansing service have had the opportunity to operate various makes & models, through short term hires available in the market. Road sweepers manufactured by Scarab sweepers have been in operation within the Council’s fleet for 15 years+. These have provided operational ease, available support by the manufacturer post award, suitable carrying capacity, meets service requirement and performance on Barnet’s streets. This therefore also requires minimal operator training and have received better overall operator acceptance. 1.3 Lot 4 of TPPL/HCC Fleet Purchase framework can facilitate the direct call off of the identified road sweepers, with the TPPL contact management team overseeing the process. Scarab Sweepers Ltd were the first ranked supplier in the Lot 4 of the HCC/TPPL framework.
