Description

the provision of Night Marshals within specific areas of Wakefield City Centre. The service is required to operate on Friday and Saturday evenings and Bank Holidays between the hours of 21:30 and 04:30 and is run by the Council operating in partnership with the West Yorkshire Police.

The Night Marshals are required to be ambassadors for the Wakefield night time economy by identifying potential hotspots through gathering intelligence, increase the presence of public safety, and provide care to vulnerable patrons, helping those who are in distress or in a vulnerable position be it from drinking too much alcohol and can’t get home or administering basic first aid.
