Description
Warwickshire County Council (the Council) is responsible for arranging the reprocessing of waste collected at its HWRCs. Eight of the HWRCs are operated directly by the Council, while Judkins HWRC is operated on the Council's behalf by a Supplier. The waste management team ensures that waste from the HWRCs is managed in accordance with the waste hierarchy and the Council's waste strategy. To support this, the Council has a number of contracts in place for the reuse, recycling, recovery or disposal of waste materials brought into the site by the public, the waste collection authorities and traders. The location of Warwickshire HWRCs is shown in Annex A. The number and location of HWRCs, together with site operational practices may be subject to change throughout the life of the contract. 1.2 One of the waste materials the Council needs to have a reprocessing contract for is inert waste.
