Description
Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and Horton Heath are commissioning a new youth service to provide safe, accessible and positive opportunities for young people aged 8-19. The borough has a strong and growing youth population, with around 40,000 residents aged 0-19, and areas such as Fair Oak and Horton Heath have seen population increases of around 15% over the last decade, creating greater demand for local activities and support. This commission aims to establish a flexible, inclusive and place‑based youth offer that supports wellbeing, confidence and positive participation. The service will need to work collaboratively with parish and town councils, Local Area Committees, schools and community partners, and be adaptable to future changes linked to Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). The overarching aim is to ensure that young people across the borough have access to high quality, community rooted opportunities that help them feel supported, connected and able to thrive. The service being commissioned will be focussed solely on the areas outlined within the tender documentation which can be accessed for free on the South East Business Portal https://sebp.due-north.com/ The maximum budget for this service is £42,000 per annum. Total fee for duration of contract (not including potential 1 year extension) is £84,000 excluding VAT. The Contract will be for a period from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2029 with the option of extending for a further 1 year to 31 March 2030, depending on supplier performance/ funding etc. The anticipated service commencement date is 01 April 2027.
