Description
Since its initial launch in 2022, the Just Transition Fund for the North East and Moray (‘The Fund’) has allocated almost £100 million in funding. This includes:- 3 distinct funding rounds; in 2022, 2025, and most recently in 2026; and- a £25 million allocation to the Scottish National Investment Bank.The Fund is now in its fifth year of delivery. Twenty-eight projects which were awarded funding (through the 2022 and 2025 funding rounds) have now been completed. Additional projects will be announced from the latest 2026 funding round this September. The Scottish Government now wishes to commission research to evaluate both the direct impact that Just Transition Fund projects have had to date, and the future potential for this impact to increase as a long-term legacy of the funding.
