The service will provide easy access, cost-effective, high-quality provision for contraception and prevention, diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted infections, according to evidence-based protocols. This will be achieved through outreach, partnership working and clinics at targeted locations and convenient times to the service user ensuring that high risk groups are supported to achieve good sexual health. The service will ensure that it provides equitable access to services across the geography of Suffolk and that local people can access sexual health and contraceptive support effectively.
Innovation will be a key component of the new service, and the Provider will be expected to use creative, flexible, and innovative approaches throughout the lifecycle of the contract to meet the changing needs of the local population.
Key areas of focus will be using innovation to: a) Increase access closer to where people live b) Increase targeted outreach c) Integrate multi-disciplinary approaches across the local system d) Service reach across diverse populations e) Meet the needs of underserved groups and those with multiple disadvantage f) Embed prevention
