Brief Description of Requirement
Following the UK exit from the EU, the Agency have set out to develop a UK SST capability to offer services to both government and external industry users. In addition to the work to enhance the National Space Operations Centre (NSpOC) capability, the Agency is also undertaking an exercise to understand its long-term technology needs and develop a technology strategy to ensure its business objectives continue to be met.
In early 2022, the Agency commissioned an exercise to determine their Enterprise and Technology Strategy. This exercise set out 4 possible options on what a future technology architecture could look like. A key decision in determining the most appropriate option is whether the Aurora software system can be migrated on to a new architecture model suitable for both Military (MoD) and Civil (UKSA) needs.
