Evidence tells us that healthy nutritious food is vital to allow children to learn and develop positively.

The Department for Education (DfE) intends to undertake a procurement exercise to appoint a suitably experienced organisation, or individual, to develop high-quality comprehensive online 'Nutrition' content to support practitioners to understand and fulfil the requirement within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework that states: 'Where children are provided with meals, snacks and drinks, they must be healthy, balanced and nutritious'.

The successful bidder will utilise their expertise and understanding of early years nutrition and the early years sector to fulfil a number of activities. This will include producing printable recipe cards, videos and images to support the written content, to make it accessible and engaging for the intended audience.
