Description

Monaghan County Council, the “Contracting Authority”, wishes to explore the options available to construct a link road between the Old Cross Square roundabout in Monaghan Town and the Annahagh Roundabout on the N2 Road located circa 1.3km to the east. In order to move this concept to the next stage, a feasibility study is now required. The Feasibility Study report and Options reports must be undertaken in the format as outlined in the TII Publications PE-PAG-02009 to 02013 as amended. The link road must include provision for: • Active Travel infrastructure, • planned developments, as shown in Figure 2.1 and Appendix A, • linkage to the existing Ulster Canal Greenway, • A planned Transport Hub to include park and ride facilities, bus set down areas, cycle parking facilities and any other facility that will improve the user experience of the transport hub
