Description
Bedford Borough Council (the Council) is inviting tenders for the design and build of a salt barn sited at the Council's London Road Depot. The salt barn will facilitate the Councilâs winter maintenance programme for salt distribution.
The site is located south of Bedford Town Centre and is accessed via an unmarked entrance from London Rd. The depot shall continue to run with limited operations during construction of the Salt Barn which must be considered as part of Bidders tender proposals. The installation is the first phase of redevelopment on the site prior to a complete refurbishment of the depot.
Prospective Bidders must note that the award of contract is entirely subject to the Planning Application being successfully approved. The contractor will not be appointed if the application is unsuccessful and the Council will not be held liable for bid costs occurred by the Bidder to that point.
Additional information: The procurement will be undertaken using the Councilâs online secure e-sourcing portal and all interested organisations will need to register via the following link: https://www.proactisplaza.com/supplierportal/?CID=bedfordbc
Please note that notification emails will be sent to the email address registered on the system so it is advisable to use an email address that is regularly monitored on behalf of your organisation.
Full instructions of how to use the e-sourcing portal can be found on the relevant website, however in the event of any difficulties please contact the PROACTIS Help Desk on 03300050352 or alternatively the Council either by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01234 276420 for further assistance. The ITT documentation will be available to download from the PROACTIS system from publication of the Contract Notice once the registration process is complete.
