For the avoidance of doubt this is not a Call for Competition, this is to initiate a Market Engagement process.
Staffordshire County Council is committed to working alongside Providers of all Community-Based Opportunities for Older People & Physical Disability and the VCSE sector to support and empower our communities. The Council therefore wish to meet with Providers to informally talk about: ⢠current Day Care Services and Community-Based Opportunities in each district locality ⢠scoping need and gaps in service provision in each district locality ⢠identifying what aspirations you have for future service delivery.
The main purpose of this Market Engagement is to consider how Day Care Services and Community-Based Opportunities for Older People & Physical Disability across Staffordshire can continue to be best provided in terms of :- ⢠geographical breakdown, to ensure appropriate service coverage ⢠improved choice of Services on offer and accessibility to Individuals.
This is a great opportunity for the Council, Providers and VCSE to work together to look at how we can:- ⢠Build capacity in communities to support future service delivery and shape the vision for the future service ⢠Improve and maintain individuals' health and well-being through increased independence, choice, control, dignity and quality of life. ⢠Promote independence and enable individuals to become an active member of society and the community. ⢠Address needs of the younger adult cohort for both high complex and lower level physical disabilities ⢠Recognise and deliver the needs of a community.
Meetings will take place with Providers during June/July 2022.

Please note the Council are not looking at contracting at this early stage just scoping service to inform future commissioning intentions.
