Description
Homelessness is a particular issue in London with half of Englandâs rough sleepers located in London and over a third of No Fixed Abode (NFA) hospital admissions occurring in the London area.
A review of the health and social care needs of homeless people in London is underway and is expected to report in March 2017. This procurement is intended to support the continuing provision of primary medical care to homeless and vulnerably housed people in the City and Hackney CCG area on an interim basis pending the outcome of the report and resulting strategic commissioning decisions.
The Greenhouse Practice, located in Tudor Place E9, provides primary medical care services principally to the local homeless population as well as to other vulnerable patients. The contract under which the practice provides such care terminates on 31st March 2016.
NHS England therefore wishes to procure a new provider to take over the existing registered list and further develop high quality and innovative primary care servcies to local people who are homeless, vulnerably housed or who have registration difficulties.
NHS Englandâs London Regional Teams are operating an e-Procurement process via the link provided below. Interested Applicants wishing to participate in this procurement activity must express an interest by registering their details and completing all parts of the PQQ available from the portal website at: https://procontract.due-north.com/register. If you are not already registered on the portal you will need to register your organisation before you can continue with your Expression of Interest and this registration procedure will take 24hrs to turnaround from the submission of your registration. Once you have completed this you will need to look for âCurrent Opportunitiesâ. Within this area there will be a project called âPrimary Care Homeless Servicesâ. Click the link for the opportunity and in the right hand box on the screen titled: Expression of Interest Window, please log-in and register your interest in this opportunity. Please follow the instructions to express an interest. You should then receive two emails; 1: advising that you have successfully registered your interest, 2: advising you that the documents are now available to download. You will then need to log back into to the portal to access and download the documentation. Please note that by expressing an interest you are not committing yourself to submit a bid. The closing date for submission of the ITT is: 12:00 pm (noon) on 22.01.2016. Submissions received after the above date and time may not be accepted. NHS England London Region reserves the right to amend any of the details stated here.
