Description
Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board is exploring options on how to re-commission Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS). The potential service(s) under review are:
1. Patient Transport Hub A single point of access call centre patient bookings. Patients will be risk and eligibility assessed before a transport booking is made. 2. Pre-planned NEPTS This will include Planned outpatient and day cases, bariatric care, the haemodialysis service. 3. On the Day Patient Discharge, (inter-hospital) Transfers, Complex Patients To include admissions, complex patients, on the day outpatients and day cases, higher skilled journeys. This service will run in close co-operation with our Trust transport teams, this lot will cover high risk, quick response journeys for patients needing urgent discharge or transfer across BNSSG.
To assist in the exploratory exercise the Commissioner is seeking to engage with suitably qualified providers to help inform their next steps. This will include exploration around replacing existing services and/or expanding the provision of services covered.
The full-service scope is in the process of being defined and the Commissioner will be holding Market Engagement Event (MEE) with the aim of: ⢠Engaging with providers ⢠Understanding the interest there might be in providing such services from suitably qualified providers ⢠Informing the commissioning process ⢠Gathering information from stakeholders that may be used to shape a commissioning / procurement process and documentation.
