Description
Swansea Council have been delivering new build housing utilising internal resource, both pre-contract through to construction & completion and while this has been successful to date, in order to improve efficacy the authority is seeking to utilise external expertise and capability from the local regions. Herewith, Swansea council looks forward to receiving tender responses for the procurement of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Consultancy Services via Sell2Wales for a proposed affordable housing scheme in Gorseinon.It is intended each design consultant will be initially appointed by the Client up to conclusion of RIBA Plan of Work 2020, Work Stage 3+. In addition, the council wishes to incorporate the potential to take the scheme to RIBA Work Stage 4-6, however this will be subject to the council securing funding. If further appointments are made and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Consultancy services are procured it would be expected that the consultant would be novated to the design and build consultants at RIBA 5.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
