Description

The purpose of this tender is to appoint a Supplier to provide the following services for the residents of The District Council of Tandridge for 24 hours 365 days per year;

1. Provision of a dog collection and acceptance service by dog handler(s)

2. Provision of kennelling and care of dogs

This tender is for a service which will receive calls from the public, collect reported strays, deliver to kennels, assist in repatriating them with their owners and to regularly report bask on performance. Where unable to repatriate the dog the supplier will assist with rehoming.

The authority has a statutory duty under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to ensure that stray dogs are promptly collected. Please note that there is a geographical restriction of 5 miles from any Tandridge District Council Boundary on the provision of kennelling services outside the area to ensure animal welfare during transit from point of collection or acceptance to licensed kennels.
