Description

Birmingham City Council’s Transportation Behaviour Change Team encourages people living, working and travelling in Birmingham to choose more sustainable modes of transport and to exhibit safer behaviour on their journeys.

In addition, we communicate a wide range of transport messages within the Birmingham Connected vision: working towards a safer, healthier, greener city with a reliable integrated transport system which supports our growing population and economy.

Current key projects include:

• Birmingham Cycle Revolution and Big Birmingham Bikes; • Bikeability and road safety education in schools; and • Behaviour change aspects of new 20mph speed limits, under the strapline ‘Slower is Safer’.

The successful designer(s) will be responsible to the Transportation Behaviour Change Manager and will work closely with members of the Transportation Behaviour Change Team on specific commissions.
