Description
Supported by the Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Coventry University will be opening the National Transport Design Centre (NTDC) at its Technology Park in spring 2017. The centre will focus on design research, post-graduate education and industry engagement, both with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the transport sector (automotive, rail, marine and aerospace), suppliers in those sectors and potential new entrants. The facility will be equipped with industrial standard, state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure that NTDC can offer high quality design solutions, both physical and virtual, based on the outcomes of Coventry Universityâs design research.
The University is looking to procure 3D projection mapping technology to turn objects, often irregularly shaped, into a display surface for video projection. These objects will be transport related and complex such as a full size model of the exterior or interior of a motor vehicle. We have a budget of between £120,000 and £140,000 (excluding VAT).
