Description

From the 1st January 2015 it is illegal to use any Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC’s) to service or maintain any refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment This tender / project as arisen as part of a larger project within UCL to remove all HCFC’s from refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment within UCL’s Campus and replace with a compliant and more sustainable alternative. The buildings concerned with this tender are the school of Pharmacy, Institute of Child Health, Institute of Ophthalmology and the Eastman Dental Hospital.

Due to the nature of the areas in which the equipment will be installed it will be necessary to be flexible in the approach to working with our end-users to ensure that we maintain services where required and we also work within their needs within specific areas. At times it we may need to prioritise the installation schedule in order to install units that have failed or need component replacement.
