Description
Killen Green Park is a District Scale Park within the Netherton Area and is designated as a priority 1* in the Sefton Parks and Green Spaces Asset Management Strategy. This classification requires that this park should be a focus for improvement and so has been prioritised for the allocation of Section 106 monies arising from nearby housing developments.
This park has no tradition of formal wheel-based activities but the demand to provide a skate park for use by local youngsters is keenly supported by the local community and the Council?s ward councillors
Sefton Council has appointed a contractor to construct and install one concrete skatepark aimed at all abilities between the ages of 8 and adult for skateboarders, BMX rollerblades and scooters.
The skate park is intended to be used by youngsters of all ages and abilities, including access for wheelchair users, and will therefore have features that cater for the beginner as well as the advanced user.
