Description
Surrey County Council is gathering market information to shape the strategy and direction for future Highways Major Schemes and Maintenance works.
Major Schemes include road works, redesigns, redevelopments, and maintenance schemes, with a value over £1m. Surrey expects to spend between £50-£100m on Major Schemes Projects over the next 5 years, and the strategy will define the route in which we procure these schemes.
The Council are considering options including packaging schemes together in a pipeline of works, expanding these packages/pipelines to include surrounding Councils, and engaging in a Strategic Construction Partner as potential alternative options to how schemes are currently procured.
With your input and feedback, we aim shape the Major Schemes Strategy to find optimal outcomes for Surrey County Council, Contractors, and the Market.
