Description
Birmingham City Council (BCC) has announced its intention to bid to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games (CWG). To inform the bidding process and meet Commonwealth Games Englandâs (CWE) bidding requirements an objective evaluation of options and solution proposal is required to be prepared.
The Council is therefore looking to appoint a Provider to:
1. Undertake a feasibility study (which meets CWEâs requirements) into the hosting of the 2026 CWG in Birmingham. 2. Develop any further information and a compelling narrative which will enable Birmingham to exceed Commonwealth Games Englandâs requirements and will contribute to the Cityâs success. 3. Prepare the bid documentation, including a âbid bookâ.
The successful provider will have an extensive and proven track record of working with cities and Local Authorities on âmegaâ events, including experience of compiling and delivering bid feasibilities and delivery strategies, developing narrative, and identifying unique selling points.
BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
