Description

Dorset Council's ambition is to increase the number of Direct Payments that individuals or their representatives opt to take, to direct their own care and support. We want individuals to be able to make informed choices, and the Council are committed to providing easily accessible, information, advice, and guidance in as wide a variety of formats as possible to ensure we provide the best opportunity for Individuals to consider taking a Direct Payment. The Council is seeking to work with a Provider who will:

• make initial contact with the Individual within 2 working days of receiving the referral to arrange a mutually convenient time. • have commenced support within 5 working days of initial contact.

Dorset Council wishes to work with a Provider who can deliver all three interrelated elements of the Direct Payment Support service: (A) Advice Guidance and Support for Direct Payments (B) Holding Account for Direct Payment recipients (C) Payroll, HMRC and Pension services for Direct Payment recipients

Full details of the services required may be found in the Service Specification located with other tender documents on the e-tendering portal: www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk This is also the route to make any tender bid.

The contract is required to commence 01 October 2022 and will be a five-year contract with options to extend for a further 2 x 12 months, making a potential contract length of seven years.
