The Stoma Care Service provides assessment, support, advice and information to patients and their carers/family who are to undergo surgery which may or may not result in stoma formation. They ensure ongoing support and continuity of care for the new ostomist and those established ostomists who require assessment and review.

The appointed bidder, during the contract period shall be required to sponsor and support the Stoma Care nurses to provide a service caring for patients with all types of Stoma including: without limitation, colostomy and ileostomy and those requiring complex fistula management.

The contract duration is for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 1 or 2 years (i.e. 3+1+1)
