The service will provide modules of education for patients with Type 2 Diabetes that meet the criteria set in NICE clinical guidlines on Type 2 Diabetes. TUPE arrangements do not apply. Potential bidders should note that there has been no provision offered to newly diagnosed patients with effect from 1.7.15 and the new contract holder will be expected to offer education to this group of patients within the first 3 months of the new contract; in addition to the normal patient referrals, therefore managing an acquired waiting list.
