Description
It is envisaged that the chosen recruitment consultant will support DECC by undertaking tasks including, but not limited to, the following: â Full understanding and compliance with the Compliance for Public Appointments Code of Practice for Ministerial appointments to public bodies (OCPA); â Developing information packs including Job Specification and application documentation including diversity monitoring and political activities forms; â Developing an advertising strategy, including the use of specialist publications, and drafting advertisements; â Using a variety of resources to identify potential candidates and promote the appointments to ensure diverse pools of candidates with the professional backgrounds required; â Contacting targeted individuals and organisations to make them aware of advertised appointments and providing confidential briefing on the appointments, if required; â Providing weekly updates on progress during the advertising campaign; â Maintaining diversity stats; â Preparing a âlong-listâ of applicants with pre-sift summaries and assessments; â Attending sift panelâs short-listing meeting to answer questions and to provide feedback to candidates not taken forward; â Informing unsuccessful candidates; â Running preliminary assessment interviews, assess conflicts of interests, conduct internet searches to assess whether candidates have suitable background for the posts; â Scheduling interviews; and â Obtaining references for all candidates invited to interview.
