Description
The College of Policingâs vision is to be a world-class professional body, equipping its members with the skills and knowledge needed to prevent crime, protect the public and secure public trust.
The College wishes to build capability and capacity for delivery of its Post Incident Management training.
This EOI is for the procurement of continued PIM training delivery services. The College is wanting to appoint a Provider who will work with the College to create a longer term solution which meets the PIM training demand from UK police forces and wider law enforcement entities.
The College owns the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the National Police Firearms Training Curriculum (NPFTC) which includes Post Incident Management (PIM) Training, but doesnât currently have the capacity to undertake the delivery of the training programme.
Work is also on going within the College to develop annual PIM refresher training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) which will increase demand. There is an expectation that the successful supplier assist with the development of the refresher programme, and potentially the delivery of an annual âtrain the trainerâ event, but not the delivery of refresher training to all forces.
The College has piloted this approach by appointing Provider for one year period which is shortly due to expire.
The delegate fee for this training is set by the College.
A small number of accredited UK police forces are licensed by the College to deliver its PIM training on an internal and non-commercial basis. Other forces do not have the capability or capacity, therefore a central delivery of PIM training by the College will meet this gap in demand, and support the delivery of standardised and consistent national training.
