Slaidburn Health Centre Alternative Primary Medical Service (APMS)

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS), working with NHS England North West Region (NHSE NW) and NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (LSC ICB), is managing the procurement process, for the provision of Slaidburn Health Centre APMS Service in the picturesque village of Slaidburn in the Forest of Bowland an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The indicative annual contract is £294,000, as part of the current contract an additional payment reflects the 'atypical' nature of the practice. Based on indicative forward 10years the contract would equate to £2.94m Please note the annual contract value commencing 01 October 2023 and for each successive year would be subject to an annual uplift in line with the APMS guidelines. The Practice has a registered patient list size of 1332 (Normalised Weighted 1472) as of 1 July 2022. The Contracting Authorities are conducting a Request For Information (RFI) exercise to engage with the market and to gather information in order to gain a better understanding of both the capacity and appetite of the market in delivering the proposed service, and to alert the market to a possible future tender opportunity. It should be noted that this PIN/RFI invites individuals and organisations to express an interest in this RFI exercise, and it is NOT a pre-qualification questionnaire, and is NOT part of any pre-qualification or selection process. This PIN/RFI is intended as an awareness, communication, and information gathering exercise. The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (as amended) may apply to a future procurement including the New Fair Deal non-statutory policy setting out how pensions issues are to be dealt with when staff are compulsorily transferred from the public sector to independent providers delivering public services.
