Description
In line with UEFA's bidding process, the five football associations of the UK and Ireland, supported by their governments, have submitted an Expression of Interest for a UK&I bid for the 2028 UEFA EUROs. In early 2022, some feasibility activity was undertaken by partners to assess the potential socioeconomic impacts of hosting a UEFA EUROs. This built on an existing methodology utilised by partners to assess football event impacts.
Bid partners are now seeking to undertake further, more detailed socioeconomic impact activity to progress analysis of the benefits which could accrue to the UK and Ireland by hosting the event. Appendix 1 - Specification - provides a detailed brief on the scope and deliverables requested for impact evaluation in this phase of research. An initial preliminary/draft report is required by Friday 24 June 2022, and then following a period of internal stakeholder review and feedback provided on the draft, the final report is due for completion by Friday 29 July 2022.
