Description
St Helens Council (âthe Councilâ) is seeking to procure an Engagement Service. The purpose of this service is to increase the engagement through information, advice and guidance of young people from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds who require additional support to access learning and employment opportunities. In particular this may include but it is not limited to those who are care leavers, teenage parents, young offenders or those who have learning difficulties and / or disabilities. The service will reflect localised needs and requirements and will work closely with local authority teams and other agencies supporting these young people.
The service will be an integral part of the ESF-funded Liverpool City Region Ways To Work programme, and therefore the Supplier will also be bound by ESF regulations which will be set out in separate contract documents. The Supplier must also comply fully at all times with the Councilâs Terms and Conditions.
The contract will run for a 12 month period, with an anticipated start date of 1st July 2016.
The Council reserve the right to award the contract in full, in part or not at all.
Please note: this contract will run alongside a Young Persons Tracking Service contract which is being tendered separately â please see the Chest for details. These two services, if delivered by separate suppliers, will require close collaboration.
