Description

Brief Description of Project

As part of the National Army Museum’s Building for the Future redevelopment, the Museum is looking to implement a suite of new visitor services to support its re-launch. This will include a new commercial offer (consisting of a new shop and children’s play area at its Chelsea site, venue hire and online retail services), an exciting new public events programme and enhanced learning and research facilities.

The National Army Museum (NAM) is looking to appoint an experienced contractor to research, procure and deliver new integrated retail and visitor systems in time for the Museum’s reopening in Spring 2017, The systems will be required to be “rolled-out” late 2016 for trials and testing. The successful contractor will be required to work closely with Museum stakeholders and third parties to integrate the systems and services with the NAM’s website and other IT platforms (e.g. CRM, finance, etc.)

The successfully appointed contractor will focus on the delivery of the following:

1. Commercial stock inventory management system 2. Electronic point-of-sale (ePoS) retail technology 3. eCommerce platform and payment gateway 4. Event and entry ticketing facility 5. Event calendaring and venue booking system 6. Membership system with Direct Debit facility 7. Reading Room and enquiries services

Please see the Draft Service Specification document attached to this posting for the NAM’s indicative requirements for these items.
