Description
Introduction Pathways to Independence (P2i) is a multi-agency housing related support service for young people aged 16-24 who reside in, or have a local connection to the Somerset area. P2i was developed during 2012/2013 as a response to the escalating issues around youth housing in Somerset and was launched in May 2013. First and foremost the service is designed to prevent homelessness by providing targeted prevention measures. If prevention is not possible the service will allow young people with housing related support needs to progress along a pathway of outcome focused needs led provision, until they are able to sustain independent living without the need for support. The contracts for the delivery of the current service are due to expire on 31st December 2016 and as such a procurement exercise is scheduled for early 2016 (please see the timetable in section 4 for more detail). Guidance for Participants This soft market test is not part of any procurement process and does not represent a call for competition. It is purely investigatory in nature, although the responses may be used to assist the Council is defining a potential preferred delivery and contracting model and assist in the development of a service specification(s). Participation in this market assessment will not include or preclude any organisation from participating in any future procurement exercise. Any responses you provide will not prejudice your involvement in any future procurement exercise. No information provided in your response will be used in any evaluation of any subsequent response to a procurement exercise.
