Description

The project works are to Design, Supply, Install, Test and Commission (where applicable) and upgrade the existing system to an 18 station 6 Zone layout in accordance with the specification and proposed schematic layout.

Removal of all of the existing tube system key components such as Stations, diverters, drive units etc.

All existing stations are to be removed and to be replaced with 'New' ones. Second hand units will not be acceptable. The contractor has to provide documented evidence that the units that they are going to install have been manufactured within the last 6 months. No second hand equipment will be allowed as the provision for any station upgrade.

The contractor must carry out the upgrade to the current network with the minimum of disruption, trying to maintain an operational system this site for as long as possible. As part of the process of the upgrade the contractor must make every effort to bring back on-line as many zones as possible with minimal delay, bringing the important acute zones back on first (zones containing: A&E, Pathology the deemed critical areas) or any zones that the Trust deem more important than any other one on their respective networks.

The end system must come with a full 24 months warranty upon acceptance of the completed works.
