Description
The aim of this service is to provide a safe, efficient and cost-effective patient centred ophthalmic service to the patient population of HMP Swansea that is comparable to the care delivered by NHS ophthalmic practices in the community setting. Care should be consistent with relevant national and SBUHB guidelines and policies and recognised best practice, and is provided: In a safe environment By individuals who are competent in the delivery of ophthalmic services to meet the needs of the prisoners and assess their best long-term interests.
