Description

The purpose of this notice is to inform the market that West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group are entering into a contract with East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust to deliver a Rapid Intervention Service (RIS) for Loughton, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell PCN locality.

East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) were commissioned via a tender process to deliver the Rapid Intervention Service for the Harlow PCN locality in 2018. The service is commissioned to reduce the number of unnecessary admissions to A&E and ensure patients who require urgent care are treated at home where their needs could be appropriately managed.

This service has been successful with the Harlow PCN recognising the value that this service provides in ensuring those requiring urgent support are seen promptly within their own home. On the back of this success the service is being extended to the Loughton, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell PCN locality.

The contract duration aligns with the existing contract to deliver the service within Harlow.
