Description

Synopsis: The tender responses are for the full design of a high-power propulsion dynamometer test stand at 5MW 15-20krpm and the supply and commissioning of this or as much as can be achieved with the given budget. It is critical that where the full supply requirement cannot be met in this tender, the design will show how the test stand can be upgraded to achieve the design values when additional funding becomes available. Responses should include: o A design of a motor /generator dynamometer test stand which is able of delivering 5MW at 15-20krpm including a DC supply for a unit under test in the voltage range of 1-3kV and maximum test stand power. o A delivered operational test stand that either meets the specific requirements or forms part of an operational test stand with the capacity to be simply upgraded to meet or exceed the full design requirement at a later date

Objectives: o Establish a contract which agrees quality, price, delivery timescales, installation schedule, and aftermarket services accordance to University's requirements o To maximise recycling, reduce packaging and reduce emissions related to deliveries in line with our sustainable procurement ambitions; and o Eliminate risk of Modern-Day Slavery within the supply chain.

Estimated Value - Estimated value for design and manufacturing of goods, delivery, installation, VAT, duty / import fees and at least two-years warranty is not to exceed ?3,000,000
