The Climate Emergency 2030 Working Group at Henley Town Council is looking to install EV charging points on various streets in Henley to provide a service to its residents and visiting members of the public to this historic town. This is one way the town is looking to cut carbon emissions in Henley, to encourage the purchase of electric cars and promote clean air. The Working Group is looking to commission a 6-month trial EV charging point scheme with 6 kerbside charging points on each of circa 5 streets in Henley(with capacity for 2 extra on each street). Overall this is 40 EV points to be installed across the 5 sites, with 6 enabled points and a further 2 points installed for future enabling on each street. The project is to be funded through a 75% OLEV fund and other investment means. The total cost of the 6 month trial project should not exceed £100,000. All permissions to Oxfordshire County Council Highways to be dealt with by the contracted company. Agreements with SSE to be dealt with through the contracted company. Contract to include data collection, monitoring and maintenance. Pay back forecast to be submitted with the tender return.
