SOFT MARKET TESTING
Leicester City Council are currently considering options for the future design and procurement of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme (0-19 HCP), with a view to commencing the proposed new service from 1 April 2022. It is anticipated, that tenders for the next commissioning arrangement would be sought in June 2020.
As part of this process the commissioners of this service are keen to capture provider experience, skills, knowledge and concerns at an early point to ensure these can be fully considered throughout the process of designing and commissioning the service.
At a high level, 0-19 Healthy Child Programme will typically include elements of: ⢠Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) ⢠Breastfeeding support ⢠Public Health Nursing (School Nursing) ⢠National Child Measurement Programme and support to achieve and maintain a healthy weight
The vision for the future of 0-19 HCP is still being developed and this soft market testing exercise will feed into the service specification following an internal review.
The commissioners are undertaking a soft market test. Providers (and prospective providers) of 0-19 HCP services are asked and encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences in relation to the questions contained within the Soft Market Test questionnaire. It is recognised that such questionnaires take time to complete and so any level of information will be gratefully received.
The Soft Market Test questionnaire can be found by copying and pasting one of the following web links into your web browser:
