Description

NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the provision of a Paramedics in Primary Care, Masters Award Development Programme.

The core aim of the project is to ascertain the viability of developing graduate paramedics from the point of registration through a four-year part-time Masters programme to a point at which they can perform a valuable role across the urgent and primary as well as emergency care sectors. Under the programme, newly qualified paramedics (NQPs) from the point of registration will undertake a four-year, distance learning, part-time Masters programme, supported by high quality practice-based learning opportunities with placements in urgent and primary care.

It is the intention of the Authority that the contract period will be four years and the maximum value will be £139,800 inclusive of VAT:

Value for 4-year programme by year (based on an intake of 20 students)

Year 1 = £46,200 Year 2 = £46,200 Year 3 = £0.00 (Gap Year) Year 4 = £47,400

The Authority retains the option to extend the contract by a further 3 year period. With the maximum value of a seven year contract being £232,200 inclusive of VAT.
