The current annual value of the service is circa GBP 903,024.24 and the estimated contract value over the term of the framework will reflect this level of spend. The purpose of this PIN is to inform the market of this forthcoming opportunity and to engage with suitably qualified and experienced service providers to help shape the structure of the future procurement exercise. The proposed framework will include three (3) distinct lots, each defined by service scope and governed by an overarching specification and common terms and conditions. The framework aims to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality delivery of fire alarm maintenance, testing, and installation services across all NHSGGC sites. Indicative Lots: Lot 1 – Fire Alarm System Maintenance, Repairs and Periodic Testing For all system types, including Closed and Open Protocol Systems, across all NHSGGC locations. Planned maintenance must comply with BS5839 Part 1 requirements every six months. Lot 2 – Fire Alarm System Weekly Testing Weekly testing and associated repairs within selected NHSGGC locations. Lot 3 – Installation and Upgrade Installation of new fire alarm systems and upgrades to existing systems across the NHSGGC estate. The appointed contractor(s) will be expected to provide 24/7, 365-day breakdown repair service for all requirements and expert advice to local Estates Managers on the maintenance and management of fire alarm services. Market Engagement: NHSGGC seeks to understand the market’s capability, capacity, and appetite for participation across the three lots. Suppliers are invited to express interest and provide feedback on which lots they are likely to bid for, to help inform the final procurement structure and lotting approach. NHSGGC may conduct market engagement sessions or online briefings to facilitate discussion, gather supplier feedback, and clarify any aspects of the proposed framework. Details of these sessions and any supporting information (such as draft specifications or proposed terms and conditions) will be uploaded to the PCS Additional Documents area in due course, although this cannot be guaranteed. This PIN will remain open until Wednesday, 31 December 2025. Following engagement and market analysis, NHSGGC anticipates publishing the formal Contract Notice in January 2026.
