Description

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) would like to seek feedback from the Market in relation to its intended tender documentation for a Concession Contract for the Provision of a Home Contents Insurance Scheme for RMBC Tenants and Leaseholders. . Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has provided a successful Home Contents Scheme, for many years, for the benefit of its tenants and leaseholders. This is a service that aims to provide them with a quality product that is competitively priced against what is available in the market both in terms of premium levels and the level of cover, including exclusions and excesses. . It is important the scheme reflects the intended market and overall requirement to assist the Council in reducing financial exclusion. . The scheme will be administered by in house staff and within the FCA exemption. The scheme provides an income stream to council which covers the associated administration. . The engagement exercise will commence during the first week in May 2019 and end on 20th May 2019. . The Tender itself will be not be issued until on or around 12th June 2019 and will be by way of a completely separate exercise to this engagement event. . The Contract Start date is 28th January 2020. This particular exercise in no way represents part of a tender exercise. . This is a great opportunity for potential bidders to ask questions, make suggestions, and provide advice about anything contained in the tender documentation for RMBC to consider in light of the future tender. . Any parties interested in reviewing the intended tender documentation should ensure they are registered on YorTender to access this market engagement information and the Final Tender when it is issued. Register free at www.yortender.co.uk to find out about this and other contract opportunities across the Yorkshire & Humber region. . Bidders are asked to complete Market Engagement-Appendix 1 - worksheet '1 Non Terms and Condition' for all suggested amendments, that are not in relation to the Terms and conditions and Worksheet 2 - Terms and Condition in respect of any, concerns, comments and suggested rewording in respect of ITT Part 2 - Concession Terms and Conditions. . All responses will be treated in confidence. . RMBC will consider all suggestions and accept or reject them on their merits. . Should the council accept any requested change from any supplier, it will be shown by way of an amendment to the tender documentation when it is issued at Tender stage. . RMBC look forward to receiving potential bidder's views,/comments and thank you in advance for your feedback.
