Description
The initial contract term is 4 years from 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2023. However, the Council reserves the right to extend the contract by further periods to a maximum of 24 months. Any extension will be offered at the discretion of the Council based on the contract performance of the successful applicant.
The successful supplier will undertake a programme of structurally testing and inspecting the Council's Street Lighting Columns from a programme provided by the Council each year. The successful supplier must structurally test the columns using the "Loss of Section" method outlined in the Institution of Lighting Engineers Technical Report 22 Managing a Vital Asset: Lighting Supports 2007 as updated from time to time and either certify the columns as being structurally safe for a further stated period of time, or recommend that the column is removed immediately or when practicable. The testing method must not require removal of the column door.
Warwickshire County Council is acting as the lead authority for a collaborative tendering process on behalf of the Councils listed below. A successful tender exercise will result in separate contracts being entered into by each participating Council. Participating Councils are:

The administration of each of the above Contracts, including the awarding of the final Contract and payment to the successful supplier for Services carried out in accordance with the applicable Contract, will be carried out independently by, and will be the responsibility of, the applicable Council procuring the Services in question. This arrangement will remain the same whether one, two or three Contracts are awarded to the same supplier.
