Description
Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust comprise Southport & Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. These hospitals are sited approximately eight miles apart. The Trust provides acute healthcare to a population of 258,000 located within West Lancashire and Southport and Formby.
The Trust has a bed compliment of 500 inpatient beds and 50 day case beds, providing the following clinical services.

The Trust also provides the Regional Spinal Injury Service whose catchments area covers Cumbria, North Wales and the Isle of Man as well as the Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester area.

Scope
Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust (The Trust) wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Firm, for a period of 31 months commencing 1st August 2017 finishing 31st March 2020, to fulfil the role of the 'Competent Person' in the management of the following:
To carry out 2 x yearly services on all theatre tables & trolleys. Planning is key to this contract as all equipment will be in use at varying parts of the working week. It is vital that a robust register is kept, ensuring all assets are serviced in the required time frames and do not run into the following financial year. The Trust will be looking for a solid maintenance contract and would like your company to provide a detailed quotation of the different levels of cover that can be provided.
