Description
The Library's contract with its current Sitecore implementation partner, expires in 2018.
This procurement aims to appoint a Sitecore implementation partner for 3-5 years Selected partner will have: â¢a sizeable complement of Certified Sitecore Developers â¢flexibility to scale the level of Sitecore development â¢developer availability to participate (eg via Skype) in daily development meetings â¢implemented Sitecore for multiple clients over the last 3 years using version 7 or 8 of the CMS â¢significant experience of delivering complex implementations of the CMS involving eg: rich content; multilingual capability; use of Lucene or Solr to deliver faceted browsing; Sitecore modules such as EXM, DMS, Web Forms for Marketers, XBlog, etc; integrating Sitecore with ecommerce, authentication, registration, and/or Customer Relationship Management systems; integrating Sitecore with APIs from box office, press contact, and/or post code lookup systems, etc; optimising the Sitecore solution and delivery infrastructure to remain performant and resilient during significant spikes in user demand; and ensuring Sitecore operates well with advanced web server technologies and associated firewall, reverse proxy, and caching strategies; â¢a broad range of development skills â¢significant experience in working collaboratively â¢extensive experience of technologies, including NGINX, Solr, uCommerce, TFS, GIT, TDS, Glass, Octopus, Web Forms, and MVC; â¢Partner classification with Sitecore, preferably at the Gold or Platinum level
Expected level of demand We expect our demand for Sitecore development services to range between 200 and 400 developer days per annum over the 3-5 years. The contract will contain no contractual commitment on the British Library for provision of any particular quantity. The British Library intends this contract to be non-exclusive with ad-hoc call-off support being provided by the successful tenderer to flexibly meet demand as and when required.
