Description

Norwich City Council (NCC) licence all hackney carriages that ply for hire within the Norwich boundaries and private hire vehicles whose booking office is in Norwich.

As part of this process NCC requires that all drivers undergo driver assessment training as per Guidance for driving examiners carrying out driving test (DT1).

The council is looking to establish a framework of up to five suppliers to provide this service for each of the three test types. Should the council determine during the framework that additional suppliers are required; this would be accomplished via a further tendering process. Those suppliers remaining within the original framework would not be affected.
