Description

The service required is for a Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme. This will be a voluntary programme for heterosexual men (aged 18 or over) and their intimate partners and ex partners who have children and who have been asked to participate in the programme as part of a Child Protection Plan or Child in Need Plan.

(The Council fully understands that there are many types of individuals perpetrating domestic violence who fall outside this group of heterosexual men aged 18 years old and over. We will be exploring other ways of working with these individuals through the Domestic Abuse Hub review.)

The service will focus on changing perpetrator behaviour with an emphasis on promoting and ensuring safety of the victims and their children.

To achieve this, the successful provider will offer a risk and needs led response that addresses risk to themselves, their children and female partners.
