Description

The London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking the fabrication, delivery and installation of shelving, racking or similar for storage of the Battle of Britain Bunker's museum collection. The storage space is inside the Bunker's brand new visitor centre and measures approximately 52 square metres.

In order to make the best use of the space, the proposed shelving/racking system should be mobile, i.e. with track and rollers. A range of storage types should be included in the shelving units e.g. shelves, drawers, hanging storage for historic clothing. Suppliers will need to visit the site to take accurate measurements and discuss with the client the best possible combination of storage types.

To provide at least 175 lineal metres of shelf storage, at least 10 lineal metres of hanging storage for garments, and as much drawer storage as possible on top of this.

The site at which the shelving system is to be installed is the Battle of Britain Bunker, address as follows:

Battle of Britain Bunker Wren Avenue Off St Andrew's Road Uxbridge UB10 0FD
