Description

Health and Safety advice and consultancy services during the drilling and testing of a deep geothermal well at the Eden Project in Cornwall. . EGL's requirements are twofold: . 1) The development of a SEMS (Safety and Environment Management System) under ISO 45001, with all relevant H&S documentation appropriate to the specific requirements of the drilling and well-testing programme outlined in the ITT documents. The SEMS will promote continuous progress towards making safety and environmental protection an integral part of the company's culture. It will take into account the purpose and environment within which the drilling and well-testing will take place, and must ensure the safe delivery of the programme without implementing unnecessarily onerous or restrictive actions or procedures. . 2)A Health and Safety Advisor to provide independent H&S advice and audit during the 5-6 month deep drilling and well testing programme at EGL's deep geothermal site. The H&S Advisor will report to the Drilling Manager and the Drilling Supervisor. Advice will be provided at a corporate level to ensure that relevant regulatory responsibilities are met, and that Health, Safety and Environmental activities are carried out in accordance with UK HSE requirements for drilling and associated activities on the site. . Full details of EGL's requirements are set out in the ITT documents.
