This involves construction of a 1.4km long, twin-bore road tunnel, accommodating large vehicles including double-deck buses. It will include a dedicated bus, coach and goods vehicle lane, enabling TfL to provide additional cross-river bus routes. 25yr contract consisting of a 5yr design and construction phase, followed by a 20yr O&M phase (from Permit-to-use date).
